Despite all the evidence that we need to stop extracting oil, ‘Big Oil’ keeps on drilling.
But it can’t happen without INSURANCE. Pipelines won’t get built, Oil Rigs can’t operate. Destruction grinds to a halt.
And direct action against the insurers is working!

They’re underwriting destruction – and are living on borrowed time
Since setting up as a campaign group in 2024, Insure Our Survival have taken part in over 150 direct actions across the UK and beyond.
Alongside campaigns like Insure Our Future, we helped create the largest global wave of action ever against insurers.
Together, we’ve helped push several major companies to back away from insuring devastating projects like the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP)—and the momentum is growing.
This September, we’re turning up the heat.
Right now, at least 425 carbon bomb projects are in the pipeline… each with dozens of potential insurers.
So from 8th to 22nd September, 2025, we’re inviting YOU to join coordinated, nonviolent actions around the world targeting the insurers backing climate breakdown and war.
